AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Honduras, a video of a sub sinking off the country's coast last month. On board was about 180-million dollars worth of cocaine. Some of the drugs were recovered that day, and a dive team grabbed the rest almost two weeks later. Smugglers have used the mini-subs along the Pacific Coast of Central America. But this is the first one seen in the Caribbean.
Russia – A rare tornado rips through a city in the east, killing a person and injuring thirty. The whirlwind caused widespread damage, uprooting trees, tearing off roofs, and flipping over cars. It also took down power lines, reportedly leaving some ten-thousand people without electricity.
Italy – Mount Etna erupted for the eighth time this year. The volcano sent lava flows down its slopes and shot flames almost a thousand feet in the air. Mount Etna is one of the world's most active volcanoes.
United States – A kid and his dad found a gigantic jellyfish while exploring the tide pools in Washington State. The jellyfish is 4-feet across and after some internet searching the kid and his father believe it’s a Lions Mane jellyfish.
Taiwan – People could strike gold by cleaning up after their dogs. The Tapei City council is raffling off gold bars and residents can get one entry by turning in a bag of doggy deposits. Three lucky winners will be announced in October.
