AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – India, close to 100-people are dead after a fire rips through a hospital. Doctors and nurses left patients to fend for themselves as flames quickly devoured the 7-story building. Witnesses say it took firefighters an hour to get there and that's why people had no choice to do anything they could to escape the inferno and suffocating smoke. Still no word on what sparked it.
Mexico – The country’s Navy made a huge drug bust. In a warehouse sailors found 200-tons of chemicals used to make enough meth to bring in millions of dollars. Officials say the drugs were headed to the United States.
Japan – A conservation group is blasting the government for taking money away from earthquake and tsunami victims to keep the whaling industry going strong. All the money, around 30-million U.S. dollars, is now used for the whaling program in the Southern Ocean. Officials say they small fishing towns in the North need the funds so the country can cull to cull some 900-whales in their annual Antarctic hunt.
United States – Adolf Hitler’s old desk has sold for over 400-thousand dollars at auction.
Big money paid for where the Munich Pact was signed back on September 20th, 1938. But it really was expected to go for more. The desk was among 11-hundred historic items and documents from the World War II era up for sale.
