AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Israel, for 2-minutes people stopped what they were doing while sirens sounded across the country. The nation was created just 3-years after the end of World War II and hundreds of thousands of Holocaust survivors have since made the country their home.

India – Officials say its ballistic missile test was a success. The nuclear-armed country test fired a long-range missile yesterday. They nicknamed it the China killer and it’s allegedly capable of reaching that country carrying an atomic warhead.

North Korea – A few days after a failed rocket launch the country is still celebrating. It's a week-long party here to mark what would be the 100th birthday of the country's founding father Kim Il-sung. Kim Jong-un is North Korea’s current leader.

Syria – A week into the country's cease-fire the head of the U.N. says the Syrian government has not done enough to stop the violence. A video allegedly shows troops breaking the truce shelling Homs, a rebel stronghold.

Egypt – Welcome to a luxury ‘pet motel’ in Cairo. Dogs and cats can do almost anything here, from taking a swim to getting a full grooming session. The place also provides medical care with a team of vets.
