IVREA ITALY (FOX NEWS) — A city in Northern Italy got into an epic food fight on Sunday.
Hundreds of people came out to Ivrea, Italy to re-enact the "Battle of the Oranges." People wearing medieval costumes pelted each other with oranges.
For the event, 500 tons of oranges are shipped from Sicily to the region.
Tradition says that in the 1930's local girls would throw oranges from their balconies to grab the attention of boys.
