AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Japan, a powerful typhoon slams into japan and over two dozen people are confirmed dead. The death toll is only expected to rise. Heavy rains caused mudslides, bringing down bridges and washing out entire neighborhoods. It's the worst typhoon to hit the country in 7-years.

Italy – Two famous fountains were vandalized over the weekend by the same guy. Police say he broke off parts of the 350-year-old Moro fountain first and an hour later he knocked pieces off the Trevi fountain. Officials say the suspect admitted he did it but they still don't know why. "It is a crime, I don't know how important it is, but it is a crime against the values of civilization."

Canada – A plane skidded off the runway while landing in Ottawa catching all 44-passengers onboard off guard. "It all happened really, really fast. A huge thud, dirt was flying by." Investigators say no one was hurt. The cause is still under investigation.

Ukraine – This is where the world's best cliff divers competed over the weekend. One guy took a leap off a platform nearly 90-feet up in the air. After a thrilling finale of flips and twists, a Brit took home the cliff diving crown.

Portugal – Pedestrians clear the way for a crazy cart race. Custom-made vehicles rattled and rolled down a hill to the delight of hundreds of spectators. Funny, but these people were taking it very seriously. There were lots of prizes on the line.
