AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Japan, a massive explosion was caught on tape. It was the second of two blasts at a chemical plant. The first one happened at two in the morning local time killing one worker and injuring twenty-two others. The second one came about six hours later. There is still no word on what caused the blasts.
The Philippines – Riot police clashed with squatters. The illegal settlers don't want their flea market to be demolished. At least one demonstrator was killed and dozens of others were injured.
China – American slackline walker Dean Potter just conquered a canyon. He balanced more than 57-hundred feet in the air. The thrill-seeker crossed a distance of 44-yards in just over 2-minutes.
Russia – Scientists say for the first time, they've spotted in the wild an adult white orca; they call the killer whale ‘iceberg’. He was spotted just off the Pacific Coast. White whales of any kind are rare.
Mexico – Fishermen on the sea of Cortez netted a great white shark by accident.
The only reason the 2-thousand pound shark didn't take over their small fishing boat was because it was already dead.
