AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Libya, President Obama has repeatedly said no U.S. ground troops will fight in Libya but some were found in Tripoli. There are American "boots on the ground." According to the Pentagon, two of the troops will search for explosives which might be hidden in the U.S. Embassy. The other two will work on quote “general security."

Kenya – A hundred people are dead after a gas fire ripped through a densely populated slum. Officials say a lit cigarette sparked it. About a hundred other people were injured, after trying unsuccessfully to put it out.

Turkey – A bride and groom were caught in deadly crossfire when their reception was crashed by Kurdish militants and cops. With bullets flying, the newlyweds and their guests ran for their lives. The Kurdish militants have been fighting for their independence for years.

China – A high tide forms every year during the eighth month of the lunar calendar and goes against the Kwan Tang's current. Producing gigantic waves, some as high as 30-feet.

United States – A pod of majestic blue whales were spotted off the coast of California. The endangered species is the largest animal on earth. Only about ten to fourteen thousand of them still exist. Experts think they're following the krill. They eat about 4-tons of it every day.
