AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Mexico, a woman was allegedly paid 17-hundred dollars a month to kill people. Maria Jimenez and fellow suspected members of the one of Mexico’s biggest drug cartels were arrested and marched in front of the media today. Jimenez confessed that she's killed at least 20-people.

Colombia – One of the country's most wanted men is now in U.S. custody. Javier Antonio Calle surrendered to U.S. drug officials on the island of Aruba. The alleged drug kingpin is suspected of running a violent cocaine cartel network that sends several tons of cocaine to the U.S. every year.

China – A cab driver was trapped beneath a pile of sand when a dump- truck crushes a taxi. Firefighters dug through the pile of sand and used hydraulic tools to get inside the vehicle. Workers pulled the driver from the crushed car and he's going to be ok.

France – President Nicolas Sarkozy lost his re-election bid on Sunday shook hands with the man who beat him. The president-elect, Francois Hollande, greeted Sarkozy at commemorations in Paris marking the end of World War II in Europe. Hollande, a socialist, takes over next week.

Hong Kong – A rare pink diamond that weighed in at over 12-carats is ready to hit the auction block. The pink sparkler is expected to fetch between eight to twelve million dollars. The rock goes on sale May 29th.
