AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Mexico, 7.6-magnitude earthquake caught residents off guard. People poured into the streets in Mexico City as buildings swayed. The initial quake was followed by a 5.1-magnitute aftershock. So far, there have been no reports of serious damage or injuries.

New Zealand – Winds are so strong here that vehicles have been blown off the road, trees uprooted, and power lines are down all over the place. Firefighters struggled to keep up with the repairs.

Colombia – In this village cheaters are punished. A man is accused of having an affair with a married woman and the two were put in stocks for 3-days as punishment.

Israel – Ultra skinny models are now banned from catwalks and commercials in this country. Lawmakers passed the bill last night and under it models cannot be hired for jobs unless a doctor signs off saying they are not underweight. That means a body mass index of no less than eighteen-point-five.

Romania – A hot air balloon in Romania displays the world's longest bridal train.

The nearly 2-mile long ivory train billowed out of a hot air balloon down to the bride below. The train took 10-seamstresses and 100-days to make. The Guinness folks say its official, the train as the longest in history.
