AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Nepal, bad weather left some two-thousand tourists stranded near Mount Everest. Hundreds of tourists are slowly getting rescued thanks to a break in the weather. They were stuck on the slopes of a mountain close to Mount Everest. Thick fog made it impossible for planes and buses to get to them. Mother Nature is being much kinder today.

China – Another bad deal for tourists, as the driver of double decker bus they were riding in misjudged the height of a bridge. The good news is, most of the passengers were seated on the lower deck.

Latvia – The remains of a soviet warplane that was shot down during World War II has been found.

It's believed the Yak-9 T crashed in the fall of 1944. Among the wreckage were personal belongings from the pilot, including a letter to his wife.

Belgium – Beer made by Trappist monks is now sold in grocery stores. And last week it flew off the shelves. The hype was expected because it was the first time the beer was sold in a public store. Normally the monks only sell it at the monastery but that monastery needs some money for some upgrades.

England – The owner of a bar in London has turned his pub into a place for pups.

It even serves up dog friendly cocktails, designed to appeal to the canine palate, like the liver flavored "mutt-tini".

Tune in every night at 9:00 p.m. on FOX44 New Baton Rouge for more Around the World.
