AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – North Korea, the country's army marked its 80th anniversary today claiming it has the capability of annihilating the U.S. easily. The communist nation is already vowing revenge on their neighbors to the South. The North's weapons claims are coming just weeks after it launched a rocket which broke into pieces shortly after takeoff.

The Philippines – U.S. and Filipino troops took part in a joint military drill today despite a warning by China. The Philippines and China are currently locked in a territorial dispute in the South China Sea. The U.S. military says this drill was planned long before tensions escalated between the two countries.

Spain – High winds made for a hard landing for a passenger jet. It ends up nearly sideways. But the pilots were able to correct it last minute before hitting the tarmac.

United States – A group of guys videotaped themselves parachuting off of a Hawaii high-rise in downtown.

It’s called base-jumping and a group of people are taking to the skies to promote their sport. It's not illegal to base-jump in Hawaii; however police say it's incredibly dangerous. Participants say their jumps are well planned and safe.
