AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – The Philippines, thousands of United States and Filipino troops kicked off joint military exercises. Philippine officials have denied any connection between the exercise and their fight over some of the world's busiest sea lanes.
Brazil – Violent crime is becoming so common that even ordinary folks are bullet-proofing their cars. This used to be just for celebrities and the rich. People are worried about car-jacking or worse. Bullet proofing your car will cost you about 33-hundred dollars here.
Italy – Pope Benedict XVI is marking 2-milestones this week. His eighty-fifth birthday is today and the seventh anniversary of his election to the papacy later this week.
North Atlantic Ocean – Two wreaths were tossed into the ocean to mark the sinking of the Titanic 100-years ago, at the very spot of the ships final resting place. More than 15-hundred people died in the 1912 sinking.
Greece – Yesterday it was ‘hit your neighbors' church with firecrackers’ day. It’s an unorthodox Easter tradition. Two villages fire at each other's church and whoever lands more rockets on their neighbor’s church wins for the year. Lots of damage but no one wants to this tradition to end.
