AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Somalia, at a rally in Mogadishu today Somalis gathered at the militant-organized demonstration. The merger was announced last week by Al Qaeda’s leader. The international community has been called upon to fight this newly united organization.

India – Four people suffered injuries after a car bomb targeting Israeli diplomats. There was an explosion in New Delhi. The explosion comes the same day a car bombing attempt was made on Israeli diplomats in Georgia. That plot was stopped in time. No one officially claimed responsibility but officials are pointing the finger at Iran and Hezbollah.

Greece – The harsh new austerity measures in Greece are approved. And now, workers are left with some major clean-up.

Over the weekend, things got ugly. Protesters set dozens of buildings on fire and looters were out in full force. The tough measures included budget cuts, tax increases, and a cut in the minimum wage.

Brazil – Its carnival time and this parade was all about the pups.

The Tenth Annual Dog Parade left its paw prints on the streets of Rio de Janeiro. The big celebrations officially start next Friday.

Thailand – Couples are putting their best lips forward to try to break a world record. Seven couples are trying to keep their lips locked until Valentine's Day. They're trying to break the current kissing record that stands at over 46-hours.
