AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – South Korea, a bold demonstration in Seoul today on the heels of a threat made by their communist neighbors that an attack is looming. North Korea says it’s prepared to reduce the South’s government to ashes within minutes. Yesterday’s warning from the North comes amid international concerns the country is out for revenge after its failed rocket launch.

Italy – Mt Etna, Europe's most active volcano is once again putting on a spectacular show. This is the volcano's seventh eruption of the year. Mt. Etna is one of Europe’s biggest tourist attractions.

Colombia – Police showed off a major shipment of weapons that was headed for rebels and a narcotics gang. There were 160-rifles, 150-grenades, 25-pistols, and more than 67-hundred bullets that are now property of the Colombian government.

China – A girl fell through the sidewalk here.

The second the ground opened up beneath her a cab driver rushed to her rescue. Eventually firefighters were able to pull both of them out. Local officials say underground water has been eroding the road for years.

France – An out-of-towner in Paris who was looking for a place to park his car entered into the wrong entrance. He thought it was the entrance to a parking garage but it was an entrance to the subway.
