AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Syria, more video emerged today that purportedly proves forces loyal to President Assad are not ready to back down. The United Nations reports the crackdown on anti-government activists in Syria claims at least 100-lives a day.

Chile – A forest fire scorched a resort town reportedly destroying more than 100-acres of land and dozens of homes. We're told authorities claim somebody may have started that fire on purpose.

Colombia – Police raided a gang safe-house in Bogota. Thirty-five people were arrested for exporting tons of chemicals used to make cocaine. Cops claim the suspects were sending the stuff to Mexico for eventual trafficking into the United States.

The Indian Ocean – The Costa Allegra and the 1000-people aboard it are expected to reach port early tomorrow morning. The cruise ship was stranded in Somali pirate waters after a fire broke out in its generator room.

Australia – A horse is on the road to recovery after being stuck in quicksand like mud with his owner for several hours.

They were just strolling down the beach when they suddenly sank. Despite some bumps and bruises, Graham and her horse are doing just fine now.
