BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — An overnight blaze that heavily damaged a Baton Rouge home is believed to be arson.
Baton Rouge firefighters got the call around 1:43 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10. They arrived to a home in the 900 block of Elysiam to find flames engulfing the rear of the home.
Officials had the fire under control by 2:18 a.m., but not before it spread to the attic.
The rest of the home received heavy water and smoke damage. Thankfully, no one was in the home when the time of the fire.
Fire investigators do believe the blaze to be a case of arson and are still investigating the matter.
