GONZALES, LA — Officials with Ascension Parish and Livingston Parish decided jointly to suspend recreational boating until conditions are again safe following the exit of the current rain storm conditions.

Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced today all Ascension Parish waterways will be closed until further notice to recreational boat traffic starting at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday.
