BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — The Alcohol Tobacco Control Board closed an investigation into the bar "The Bulldog."
The ATC was investigating the bar for because that's where the driver Joseph Branch, 28 allegedly bought alcohol the night he allegedly crashed his car into two bicyclist, injuring one and killing another.
“We at ATC have a standing policy to investigate alcohol related fatalities that stem from businesses we regulate” said ATC Commissioner Troy Hebert. “At this time we have found no evidence that shows that the Bulldog acted improperly.”
Police say bicyclist Nathan Crowson and Danny Morris were hit by 28-year-old joseph branch on January 21. Crowson died at the scene, and Morris was severalty injured.
Tests later revealed Branch's blood alcohol level was close to four times the legal limit. Joseph Branch is charged with vehicular homicide.
