A Thibodaux man has been arrested for allegedly intimidating and robbing a witness.

24-year-old Dominique Beamon was arrested on charges of Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, Intimidating Witnesses, Simple Battery, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and Theft, according to Thibodaux Police Department press release.

Police say Beamon was already set for a trial later this month, for a charge of Assault by Drive-By Shooting.

Beamon allegedly went to the home of a witness in Thibodaux, and physically assaulted the witness and stole the victim’s phone.

Thibodaux Police said initially, the victim was able to escape from Beamon, but did not call them because Beamon threatened to kill the victim.

On February 7, Beamon allegedly returned to the victim’s home where he broke in and stole the victim’s car keys.

The victim then called Thibodaux Police, who found and arrested Beamon at the Lafourche Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Beamon is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center, and his bond is set at $107,500.
