Baton Rouge soon to have hurricane preparedness app
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — There's an app for almost everything. Soon, there will be one to help you prepare for hurricanes.
The Mayor's Office is designing a new program for smart phones. It will have checklists to make sure you're ready before a storm hits.
Then, during a storm, it will tell you where shelters are set up, and provide phone numbers for emergency services around EBR Parish.
The Metro Council just set aside $25,000 to build the app.
