BATON ROUGE (FOX44) - Saturday was Baton Rouge's first Irish-Italian parade.
Red-stick residents lined up and down Burbank and Nicholson to get a peek of this "hybrid" parade.
Each of the floats was green, some were sporting an Italian flag. The best part was, the people that came made out like bandits on parade throws.
Jennifer Repp was one of the people on the route and she said for their first year, a lack of people was understandable.
"I don't think the turnout was going to be that big, cause not that many people know about it. But i hope they keep doing it, so it does end up spreading because I think it will be a lot of fun."
