Cashing in on parking at LSU football games

It's one of the most frustrating parts of going to an LSU football game. Driving around for what seems like forever looking for that elusive parking spot.

"I will go all over campus at nine, ten in the morning. There will be no parking spots and you have to park a mile and a half away just to walk to your tailgate and go to the game. It's pretty hectic," says LSU student Kyle Johnston.

The tables have turned though for Johnston. He and his two roommates now live just walking distance from Tiger Stadium, right off of Nicholson Drive. They're planning on cashing in on their new piece of prime real estate.

"Absolutely thinking about getting something together, Seeing if we can't make a little extra cash on the side," says Johnston.

He doesn't plan on charging his friends. It's a different story for you and me. We're going to have to fork over at least 20 bucks to park in his fronty and he thinks he and his rommates will easily be able to rake in a few hundred dollars a game. And with eight home games the numbers can really add up. And he knows exactly what he's going to do with all that extra cash.

"Some bigger tailgates, some bigger parties," says Johnston.

And that's getting him pumped with LSU's first home game against North Texas just a month and a half away.

"I'm really excited. I've been here a couple of years now and I've gotten to know the ropes a little more and it's going to be an interesting year. I'm ready for it to kick off," says Johnston.
