BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Nearly 9,000 runners will be on the streets of downtown Baton Rouge this weekend for the city's first ever Color Run.
Saturday's 5K race is geared less toward the fastest times and more to having a good time with family and friends.
It's a unique 3-mile race where runners are given colored paint packets to throw.
Runners are encouraged to wear white clothing. The start time is set for 10:00 a.m. in the morning near Florida at River Road.
There is expected to be increased security on hand.
