19-year-old arrested for stabbing a man multiple times during a street fight

A 19-year-old turned himself in to police for stabbing a man multiple times during a street fight.

The Lafayette Police Department reports that Marcus Arceneaux turned himself in on Wednesday, May 8 for an incident that happened on May 4.

Investigators believe Arceneaux stabbed a 20-year-old man multiple times during a fight that broke out near the intersection of East Simcoe and 8th Street. It happened at roughly 2:30 a.m.

The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Arceneaux is charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Facility.
