BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A Baton Rouge home gained major damage after a fire broke out early this morning. Investigators believe an arsonist is to blame.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department reports that the call came in shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. We’re told the flames were shooting out of the roof when firefighters arrived.
Investigators believe the fire started in the hallway of the vacant home. It then spread to the attic. The good news is that no one was hurt, and it was extinguished before it could spread to nearby homes.
