Authorities looking for bank robbery suspect

Baton Rouge Police Detectives are currently investigating a robbery that took place today around 4:51 p.m. at the Teche Federal Bank (located within the Neighborhood Walmart), 9830 Old Hammond Hwy.

The suspect entered the bank and approached the front counter. The suspect then demanded cash from the teller as he stated that he was armed with a weapon, but no weapon was ever observed. After taking possession of an unknown amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is identified as a black male, medium complexion, mid 20’s to early 30’s, 5’9” to 5’10” in height, 220 – 240 lbs. The suspect was wearing a grey t-shirt with a yellowish-neon green design, grey nylon pants along with a camouflage baseball cap.
