Baker Police seeking attempted first-degree murder suspect
BAKER, LA — The Baker Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in a drive-by shooting which took place on Tuesday.
On May 29, 2012 Baker police officers were called to investigate a shooting, and discovered that three victims were targeted by Greg Anthony Morris Jr., 18, of Baton Rouge, while in the Sherron Street area of Baker.
Detectives learned from the victims and an eyewitness that Morris had waited in ambush for the victims, and then fired a weapon while inside of a vehicle while several juveniles present with him.
It was learned that one of the juveniles present, was a willing participant in assisting in committing the act.
The juvenile, whose name could not be released because of their age, was booked in the East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention Center as a principal to Attempted First-Degree Murder.
Morris is wanted on three counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault by Drive-by shooting, Illegal Use of a Firearm, and two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
Police caution that Morris is believed to be armed and should be considered dangerous.
