Baton Rouge man shot to death inside his home
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A Baton Rouge man was shot and killed at his home shortly after midnight.
The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to a home on Jefferson Street on Tuesday, Nov. 27. When officers arrived they found the victim, Shermaine Matthews, 28, lying inside his home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a black male running from the scene. However, they did not see what direction he fled.
Investigators have not yet determined a motive for this shooting.
