Baton Rouge man shot in the face during attempted armed robbery

A Baton Rouge man was killed over the weekend during an attempted robbery.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Friday, March 15 shortly before midnight. We’re told the victim, CJ Grisby, Jr., 46, was shot in the face while standing in the driveway at his home on Geronimo Street.

Grisby was transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery. They are currently working to identify a suspect.
