Bond set at $41,000 for man accused of stabbing wife during domestic dispute

Bond was set at $41,000 for a man accused of stabbing his wife over the weekend, according to public records.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident happened Sunday, Aug. 18 during the evening. When deputies arrived to the home located in Holden, they learned that Mark Crayton had stabbed his 42-year-old wife during an argument.

The victim was transported to a Baton Rouge-area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Crayton was arrested and charged with Aggravated Second-Degree Battery (felony), Domestic Abuse Battery, False Imprisonment, and Aggravated Assault.

Officials say this case remains under investigation.
