A sixth suspect has been identified in connection to the shooting death of a 20-year-old man in Geismar.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that a warrant was issued today for the arrest of Dehavius Raby, 36, of Baton Rouge. He accused of being involved with the murder of Bernard Solomon, 20.

Additionally, they announced that Jyrah Bringier and Shedrick Norra were arrested on Friday, June 7.

The first three suspects, Marcus Sterling, Richard Gautheir, Jr., and Ledell Maxwell, were arrested last week. All of the suspects are charged with First-Degree Murder.

Detectives believe the shooting was the result of a drug deal for the purchase of prescription cough medicine containing codeine. It’s known as “lean.”
