BRPD arrests man for 2013/14 home invasions
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — UPDATE: On Tuesday afternoon, Baton Rouge Police Detectives charged Vorris Mouton with an additional charge of Aggravated Burglary and also Sexual Battery which occurred on 1/17 in the Sherwood Forest Subdivision, near Goodwood Blvd. and Sherwood Forest Blvd.
The State Police Crime Lab was able to connect Mouton through DNA collected at the Scene.
Additional charges are pending. The case is still under investigation.
A New Iberia man has been arrested for a home invasion in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department says they arrested 35-year-old Vorris Mouton on January 20 for a home invasion that happened back in December of 2013.
According to police, Mouton illegally entered a woman’s home in the 2900 block of Reymond Street, on December 22, 2013.
Mouton allegedly, threatened to kill the woman if she did not show him where her safe was.
The victim fought with Mouton and he ran from the home soon afterwards.
