BRPD seeking hit and run driver who put pedestrian in critical condition

A 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle during the early morning on Sunday, Nov. 4. Police are currently seeking the driver, who fled the scene.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident occurred on the 5100 block of Alvin Dark shortly before 2:00 a.m. We’re told the victim was crossing Alvin Dark on foot when he was struck by a 1999-2002 Honda Accord EX. The drive fled in northbound lane in the direction of Tigerland.

The vehicle is described as having alloy rims, missing the driver’s side mirror, and missing the center cap on the left front tire. We’re told the vehicle may possibly have damage to the left front side.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment where he remains in critical condition.
