Caddo Parish authorities make 8 drug arrests at Louisiana State Fair

In conjunction with the Shreveport Police Department, the Caddo Sheriff's Department took into custody multiple people for alleged drug possession at the Louisiana State Fair over the weekend.

On Saturday, agents with narcotics unit conducted a one-night operation at the fair and made eight arrests, including some carnival employees.

The workers have been identified as Issam Alkheid, 26, of Huntington Beach, CA, Jay Beeson, 31, of Dallas and Fawn Odom, 31, of Casper, WY. All three are were charged with possession of a drug.

Fairgoers arrested were Adam Anderson, 31, of Shreveport, Tyler Dickson, 20, of Traskwood, AR, Rumney Evertt, 50, of Shreveport and Timothy Haley, 41, of Hawkins, TX. All five were charged with possession of a drug.

All were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.

Officials hope the arrests will keep others from bringing drugs onto fair grounds.
