Officials have confirmed that a Louisiana fugitive was arrested in Pennsylvania this afternoon.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Wade Lohse was taken into custody shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. They did not have information at this time regarding the circumstances of the arrest.

“We know that we were close on his trail Monday,” Cpt. Kip Judice, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, said. “The next information released was that he was captured.”

Lohse has been on the run since he skipped out of a Lafayette courtroom on Monday, March 25. He was in court for three charges, which include Vehicular Homicide, felony Possession of Firearm by a Felon, and Simple Burglary.

Two weeks later, Lohse released a video on YouTube explaining his reasons for fleeing. A few days later he was connected to a vehicle theft in Virginia.

Lohse has a criminal history spanning 25 years and as many arrests.
