Convicted sex offender who evaded police for 2 years found in possession of heroin

A convicted sex offender who has evaded police for roughly 2 years is back behind bars today.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that Hank Landry of Scott, was arrested on Friday, April 19. Officials say he was wanted in Terrebonne Parish for failure to register as a sex offender.

Officials say that deputies located heroin in Landry’s pocket during his arrest.

Landry is currently locked up in the St. Landry Parish Jail.
