A Crowley man has been arrested after a search warrant of his home turned up a multitude of drugs.

Agents with the Crowley Police Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant on October 15 on a residence located at 621 North Western Avenue in Crowley.

“We have been working this location for some time now and finally established probable cause to obtain a search warrant. This was a good seizure for our department” stated Chief KP Gibson.

Once the Special Response Team (SRT) secured the residence, agents began their search. During the search, agents recovered 5 Oz. of high grade marijuana known as “Hydro”, 70 Molly capsules which are a form of MDMA and 118 pieces of Crystal Meth. Agents also seized currency from drug proceeds.

Arrested was Tyson L. Winbush, 27 of Crowley. He has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for PWITD Marijuana, Manufacturing MDMA, PWITD Crystal Methamphetamines and Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds. Winbush may also face charges of possessing a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a School Zone as the location of the search was several houses away from Ross Head Start.

“Our officers are working hard for our community. I am proud of the work that every member of the department is doing. They deserve all of the credit” stated Chief Gibson.
