A Baton Rouge man has been arrested for allegedly committing at least two robberies.

The Baton Rouge Police Department has charged with Ennis Emanuel, 30, for robbing the CVS on Government Street during the middle of the afternoon on June 18. He is additionally charged by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office for the robbery of a second CVS located on Jefferson Highway several hours after the first incident.

Officials say Emanuel was wearing the same clothing during both robberies and was seen leaving in the same vehicle. In both cases he handed a note to the clerk demanding money. He claimed to have a gun, but never actually produced a weapon.

Emanuel was charged by BRPD for First-Degree Robbery and Theft of Goods. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office charged him with First-Degree Robbery.
