Police are searching for the suspects responsible for breaking into an elderly woman’s home and robbing her at knife-point.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident happened at a home located on Mission Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at roughly 9:30 p.m. The 84-year-old victim told investigators that she came out of her bathroom and the robbers confronted her.

“At least one of the suspects was holding a knife,” Cpl. Don Coppola, Baton Rouge Police Department, said. “Due to her age she was only able to give a brief account of the events.”

Thankfully, the woman was not harmed. However, some items were taken from the home, but police could not provide descriptions due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
