Former LSU QB Jefferson in prison

Jordan Jefferson is now another inmate at East Baton Rouge parish prison. A district court judge ruled he violated his bond on a simple battery charge. This is after getting arrested on simple marijuana possession last Thursday.

"We respect the decision of the court. We expected this decision that was made by Judge Moore. Mr. Jordan is here to honor any and all obligations imposed upon him,” says Jefferson’s attorney Lance Unglesby.

Before Jefferson can head back to court he has to have a substance abuse evaluation first.

"The judge may even receive a report today or tomorrow morning. Because the judge wants to know that whatever conditions he'll put in place will be sufficient to secure appearance and to make sure he's doing what the judge asked him to do," says East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore.

Jefferson's attorney Lance Unglesby says he believes his client will follow the rules and won't get in any more trouble.

"He has tremendous respect for the court. And my opinion of Jordan remains the same. He's a fine young man and I look forward to over time that becoming apparent to everyone," says Unglesby.
