Gonzales woman arrested for using fraudulent prescriptions
ASCENSION PARISH, LA — A resident of Ascension Parish has been arrested after illegal obtaining pharmaceuticals with a fake prescription.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division was contacted by a local pharmacy after Latisha Martin, 24, brought them a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone on June 8.
Authorities soon verified that the prescription was fraudulent and arrested Martin on June 10.
Martin was charged with Obtaining CDS by Fraud, Possession With Intent to Distribute CDS, and a warrant for Obtaining CDS by Fraud.
She has been booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
