BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A homeless man was killed last night after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the crash happened at roughly 9:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. The man was attempting to cross Greenwell Street on foot. An unidentified white SUV hit him, then continued west and turned north on Airline Highway.
The 52-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Police have been unable to locate any family members, so his name is not being released.
