Tangipahoa Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that a Kentwood area man has been arrested on several counts of burglary related charges.

Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that Daniel Blades, 27, was walking along Highway 38. Blades was a known suspect in a vehicle burglary.

Within minutes, Deputy L. Bridges located Blades. During the roadside investigation, Deputy Bridges identified several pieces of property that had been reported missing by the burglary victim.

Blades was taken into custody. While transporting Blades to the jail, Deputy Bridges received notice of another alleged vehicle burglary that had just been reported on JT Connerly Road.

It was reported that the cloth top of a car had been damaged and that a purse, money, and camera were missing. The camera found during the roadside investigation fit the description of the one reported missing.

Blades was subsequently charged with both burglaries.
