Livingston Parish deputies find work release walk-off in Baton Rouge

Authorities caught a man that walked away from his work release program job.

Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were searching for Tederick Bessie, 30.

Bessie walked away from the Elmer’s Chocolate Factory in Ponchatoula at around 6:00 a.m. today.

Bessie is a non-violent offender serving time for Simple Robbery. He was scheduled for release in January of 2015.

He was captured by the US Marshals Office just before 5:00 p.m. today in Baton Rouge.
