Louisiana rapper Lil Snupe killed in Winnfield
Winnfield, La (FOX44) — A Louisiana-based rapper was shot and killed last night in Winnfield, La.
Officials confirmed to the KALB, the NBC affiliate in Alexandria, that the incident occurred during the early morning on Thursday, June 20. However, they did not provide many details.
We're told no arrest has been made at this time, but it is being handled as a homicide investigation. The Winnfield Police Department is handling the case and says they will release a statement later today.
The incident was leaked via social media due to a tweet from his manager. It said “The call I got this morning is un real RIP…”
The rapper got his big break in 2012 when he was signed to the label Dream Chasers Records by Meek Mill. He recently turned 18 on June 13. He’s originally from Jonesboro, La, which is located in Jackson Parish.
