On January 26, 2014 at approximately 9:30a.m., members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division were called to respond to a domestic battery complaint.

LPSO learned – through an investigation that followed – that the suspect, Jessie R. Mouille, had an active warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.

When LPSO Deputies arrived at 34100 Robbie Lee Drive in Denham Springs to arrest 20-year old Jessie R. Mouille, he was uncooperative & resisted arrest.

Mouille ran from Deputies and gained access to a vehicle and drove into an open field where Deputies in vehicles - and on foot - were set up. Mouille attempted to ram LPSO units and run over Deputies on foot. Deputies fired at Mouille in an attempt to stop his vehicle and to prevent serious injury or harm to deputies on the scene. Mouille evaded this initial attempt to stop him, drove away from this scene and was pursued by the LPSO. The chase ended at a convenience store located at Arnold and Linder Roads in Denham Springs.

Mouille was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to a Baton Rouge hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries. Mouille’s injuries are listed as non-life threatening. He is expected to make a full recovery. No LPSO Deputies were harmed.

Upon Mouille’s release from the hospital, he will be booked in the Livingston Parish Detention Center for multiple criminal charges. This is expected to happen later tonight or tomorrow.

Louisiana State Police Detectives and Crime Lab personnel have been called in to assist in this investigation.
