Man arrested after Houma nightclub shooting

A Houma man has been arrested after an altercation outside of a nightclub quickly escalated into a shooting.

On the night of November 2 around midnight, Houma Police were called to an altercation that took place at Club Heavy, located in the 100 block of Howard Avenue.

After it got heated, one man got a firearm and shot a victim in the hand. A second victim was injured as he was struck in the head with a firearm.

The investigation lead to the arrest of Kentreal Howard, 29. He was charged with two counts of Aggravated Second-Degree Battery and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Both victims were treated for their injuries and released.
