A Houma resident has been arrested after stealing items off of a car while it was being serviced at a dealership on May 15.

Jermaine Netters, 29, stole car speakers, tires and rims from a vehicle being serviced at Greg Leblanc Nissan.

The vehicle's owner told Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies that an acquaintance of hers saw her tires and rims being advertised for sale on a local classified ads website, Cajun Swap Shop.

Netters was contacted, and they agreed to meet at Wal-Mart on Grand Caillou Road to buy the tires. Detectives met the seller; Netters told them that he was selling the tires for someone else.

Netters was taken into custody and admitted to stealing the tires and rims. He was charged with Felony Theft over $1,500.

Detectives are still investigating this case, so anyone with information is asked to call the Terrebonne Parish detective bureau at (985) 876-2500.
