BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A 48-year-old man was arrested this morning for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.
The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Mark Turner early this morning for the death of his girlfriend Shalonda Green, 30, of Baton Rouge.
We’re told the couple were involved in an argument over the weekend. Things got heated and Turner allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Green, causing her fatal injuries.
Turner attempted to flee the scene after the incident. However, he was quickly apprehended. Reports indicate that he had blood and cuts on his hands, arms, and abdomen.
Officials say the couple have a long documented history of domestic violence.
Turner was arrested today and charged with Second-Degree Murder. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
