Man arrested for attacking woman, killing her kitten, cat

A 24-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly attacked a woman and killed her kitten and cat.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the incident happened on Friday, Oct. 18. Police were called to the scene regarding a domestic disturbance.

The victim told officers that she was involved in an argument with the suspect, Anthony Wallace. At one point he became violent and began choking her. She claims she nearly lost consciousness.

After attacking her, the victim claims that Wallace stomped on her kitten. He then grabbed her adult cat and tossed it over the second floor balcony.

Wallace was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals (2 counts), Domestic Abuse Battery (strangulation) and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $7,500.
